Weekend at Chandipur....Pollution free zone

Photography is like a passion to me and i want to make it my profession also. For this reason i am allways ready to go for long or short distance trip.Exactly due to our profession we can not take much more leave and this word(leave) really give pain to our seniors also.Any way it doesnt matter .We are bachelors and exactly from Pharma sector and as a result our mentality matches near to 100%.

This time we have decided to go to such a place where we can relax and enjoy with nature.So at the end of june13 decided to go CHANDIPUR.Chandipur exactly in Odissa and we know odissa means sea beach.So every body was discussing that only sea beach will not make us happy.Any how relaxation was the prime motive .so LETs Go.

We all are from North kolkata west bengal. So we have reached at kestopur on 15th August at 10 am .and hire a cab.our team members are Raghunath Das,Prabir Dutta,Sudipta,BilluAnd me (Abhisek).Independence song were coming from each corner of kolkata and we  were enjoying the real freedom from our daily jobs. Young and bachelors means no rules no laws. Reached Howrah station at 11.15am and our train was EASTCOAST exp .Train timing was 11.45am from new platform of howrah.Now the time to leave Kolkata and say good buy for few days. Our coach was S3. Huge crowd was not there as many people gone earlier. I mean many people left kolkata for two to three days on 14th August nite.

Train whistled at right time and many families who from bengali sayed Dugga Dugga.Atraditional prayer for safe journey. Many people were going to Hyderabad.

Exactly at 3.45 pm we have reached BALASORE or BALESWAR.Just a four hour jouney from Howrah station.Balasore was a small station . four tracks there to pass train.So we are in odissa. So we tried to speak oria language to enjoy the flavour of Odissa. SO DHAI KIRIKIRI. means fast.We havent taken lunch as it was 4 hours journey.We took a private cab which has agreed with 200 bucks . Driver told that our destination CHANDIPUR was 16 KM from BALASORE. Oh hoo i forgot that we  travelled 234km already from howrah. Chandipur is also known for MISSILE testing place.So ADVENTURE already started.Our Hotel name was SANTINIBASH means calm place.Roads of Balasore was not good but we are used to in this matter from our childhood.within 20 to 30 mins reached to Santinibash.The coconut trees were bowed in such a way as if they were honouring us.

We were eagerly waiting to see the beach after reaching santinibash which was just opposite to the entrance. santinibash was really cool place, total silence only the sound from sea.We have booked three seater cottage and its really great to see. just like hut of a village. 900rs/day nonA/c room .

We were hungry but the inside beauty of Santinibash changed our mind. Sea view was really fantastic.Exactly sea of chandipur was totally different from Digha.Cool,calm and pleasant air refreshed us within few minutes and Bread omlet was ready to serve .We were ready to finish it within a fraction of second. Then tea time and we had it in the beach .When we reached to santinibash there were other two families from bengal already.It was 5.30 pm already so we decided to go to the nearest market to plan for dinner.I took my 1st love my camera and went to market. No fish no crabs were there as it was too late. Now what to do. One villagers told you can try chicken from the nearest shop. We were excited and had it. Clouds of Chandipur were just like beauty queens. I took snap of those bauty with my canon EOS1000D. Many shots taken with my friends and many with the nature. We went to the trip organiser to know what are the places here to see. Devkund which is the best view point here and others were Panchalingeswar,and total range of Nilgiri. We booked a sumo to see sight seen day after tomorrow.

After long time photography session at beach we returned to santinibash and started discussion on our memorable journies in the past like GURDOMMAR,YUMTHANG,KUMAYUN HILLS and many more. Within 10pm we completed our dinner and went to sleep.
Next day morning i wokeup within 5am but all in vein. Huge rain started from mid nite and went on.

Any how rain stop near about 6 to 6.30am and i was ready to take the snap of different view of santinibash and its beach. Seabeach was exactly a huge area and exatly Tajpur,Mandermoni,Chandipur all these areas are connectivity of river and sea. So here sea is different from other common sea beach like digha,puri. Lots of flys were here and i was getting mad to take all those in my camera.

Drop of rain was allways a fantastic topic for my photography and i did it seriously from morning to noon.

Photography is just like oxygen to me in chandipur.

After taking sea bath we were ready to take lunch beacause this time CRABS were waiting for us . It was too good to take the lunch of santinibash. and a chatni specially from santinibash. After heavy lunch we took a little rest and then went to the market to confirm next days trip.Nite ended with Pomfret fish.

MORNING of 17th August
 Next day we  started with fresh mood and pleasant weather. Our driver was oria but understand bengali. We started at 8.30 am and decided to take shower at DEVKUND. On the way taken breakfast. Shops were limited  . Within few hours reached a temple and after that main journey started. Now we were on the way to NILLGIRI. Weather in between was hot with humidity but all of a sudden weather changed and a cool typical Nilgiri weather came to us .After 1 and half hour journey we reached SOUTH SIMLIPAL forest just bellow Nilgiri.Permit was there and we took the permit by giving 50 bucks.

PERMIT FOR DEVKUND(SOUTH SIMLIPAL)
All the routes here is RED because it is RED clay zone.(LAL MAATI). After entering the south simlipal forest we were really in a suspense. Total area was surrounded by dense forest and followed by small canals. After few minutes we  reached the base point of DeVKUND . Then we have to walk and rain has started already but the scenaric beauty changed our mind. Nilgiri range was fully covered by dense cloud and small falls are coming from here & there. And we crossed each one with a high level of risk.The water flow was having huge current .We were going through nature made staircase and crossing each falls one by one and taking snap. After half an hour walking we reached top of Nilgiri point that was DEVKUND.
Within few minutes huge rain started and we took shelter in the temple. Lots of falls produced in front of us and we were thinking that it may be cloud burst.Exactly we were not enjoying we were in situation of fear. After an hour rain stopped and we started to come down from the top of devkund to the base but this time falls were dangerous to cross because of their increasing current. We could not estimated the depth of the flowing water and the water was totally red due to huge rain. any how after long time of fight with nature we got relieved and reached to the base of DEVKUND.
Then i started my photo session in a little bit of relaxed mood. No network was there and we were totally detouched with the modern civilisation.Our driver instructed us to go to the cab because there was a chance of rain again and that time we didnt took risk and went back to our cab and started for next destination . It was 3pm already . so we had to fill our tummy.

After lunch our next destination was PANCHLINGESWAR. Already pain started in the back and leg as we treckked a good hight.

Then we were on the way to Panchlingeswar .On the way we saw Total NILGIRI range. and enjoyed huge rain with my snaps.We reached Panchalingeswar near about 5 pm and then again started to walk and that time lots of people were there to touch Panch lingeswar and this linga was under flowing water .We had to touch it and FIVE stones bellow the flowing water. After long mountain climbing we reached our destinition and one of my friend he has touched it .

After touching five stones it was like a victory or it was like an achievement in our life.

Then we have visited some temples and Raj bari but The exact memory which we have carried to kolkata i.e.
